From August 5 to 7, Shi Dai, General Manager of China Merchants Group, visited Xiamen and Zhangzhou. During the visits, she met with Cui Yonghui, Member of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Xiamen Municipal Party Committee; Wu Bin, Deputy Secretary of the Xiamen Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Xiamen; Wang Jinzu, Secretary of the Zhangzhou Municipal Party Committee; and Wei Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Zhangzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Zhangzhou. She also conducted research on the Group's related businesses in the localities. Jiang Tiefeng, a senior official of China Merchants Group, participated in the research activities.
During the meeting with the principal leaders of Xiamen, Shi Dai stated that Xiamen is a high-quality innovation and entrepreneurship city and a high-value ecological city. China Merchants Group will deepen its roots in Xiamen and strive to make new and greater contributions to building Xiamen into a higher-level "High-Quality, High-Value, Modernized, and Internationalized" city. Cui Yonghui and Wu Bin expressed that Xiamen will actively support the development of China Merchants Group's key projects and hoped for closer cooperation to yield more practical outcomes.
During the meeting with the principal leaders of Zhangzhou, Shi Dai expressed that China Merchants Group would continue to leverage its strengths as a central state-owned enterprise (SOE) to promote cooperation across various fields towards a larger scale, broader scope, and higher level, helping Zhangzhou achieve new progress and results in its economic and social development. Wang Jinzu and Wei Dong expressed the hope that both sides would take further promoting the development and construction of the Zhangzhou Development Zone as a new starting point and pivot, leveraging their respective strengths to meet development needs and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

While conducting research at China Merchants Shekou's Xiamen Sea World project, Shi Dai emphasized the need to focus on the goals set forth at the Central Urban Work Conference – "building a modern, people-centered city that is innovative, livable, beautiful, resilient, civilized, and smart." She stressed giving full play to comprehensive development advantages, integrating diverse industries such as the cruise economy, commercial culture and tourism, and quality residential properties to create a "new benchmark for port-city integration." Shi Dai also met with Zhang Rong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Xiamen University and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and Zheng Nanfeng, Academician of CAS and Director of the Chen Jiageng Innovation Laboratory. During her visit to Huaxia Hydrogen Energy, she expressed the hope that the company would continue to rely on scientific research units like the Chen Jiageng Innovation Laboratory, dedicating itself to research to improve its products, transform technology into productive forces, and enhance competitive barriers. Simultaneously, she encouraged leveraging the Group's synergistic advantages and engaging in extensive cooperation to establish a differentiated development path.


Shi Dai and her delegation proceeded to the Zhangzhou Development Zone, where they conducted research on the Shuangyu Island Light Culture and Tourism Project and Henseniwa (China) Co., Ltd., visited the Xiamen University Zhangzhou Campus, and attended the unveiling ceremony for the Yucai Experimental Primary School. She stated that the Zhangzhou Development Zone should continuously optimize its business environment, strengthen investment promotion, develop the high-end equipment manufacturing industry, and accelerate the formation of an industrial chain. She emphasized developing Shuangyu Island into a characteristic project with demonstrative and driving effects, continuously accumulating robust momentum for high-quality development. She further highlighted the need to expand cooperation with Xiamen University in areas such as talent cultivation and the transformation of innovative achievements, striving to run schools that satisfy the public and continually meet people's aspirations for a better life. Shi Dai also conducted an on-site inspection of China Nanshan Group's Jiaomei Baowan Logistics Park, emphasizing the importance of ensuring sound safety management and operational management within the park and striving to achieve the annual profit targets.
