SHENZHEN, October 31 – The 2024 China Marine Economy Expo (MEE) opened today at the Shenzhen Futian Convention and Exhibition Center. As China's only national-level marine economy exhibition, the 2024 MEE, with a global perspective and international standards, focuses on the theme "Open Cooperation, Win-Win Sharing". Through exhibitions, forums, and supporting events, it aims to create a national-level international marine economy event integrating technology exchange, product display, achievement transactions, high-level forums, and investment promotion.

This year's MEE is primarily exhibition-based, featuring one main hall and multiple thematic pavilions. These cover application scenarios such as ships & port shipping, marine resource development, high-end marine equipment, marine electronic information, and marine supporting services & environmental protection. China Merchants Group, as one of China's leading marine-related business groups, was invited to participate in the MEE, showcasing the achievements and developments of its major marine-related subsidiaries in the field of the marine economy.

It is reported that at this MEE, China Merchants Port, a global leading port developer, investor, and operator, highlighted its achievements in global hub port and shipping route layout. Liaoning Port Group, the largest port group in Northeast China, showcased its port resources and geographical advantages, emphasizing its important role in promoting regional economic cooperation and exchange. China Merchants Energy Shipping demonstrated its innovative achievements in intelligent shipping and smart vessels, leveraging its strong ship operation capabilities. China Merchants Industry displayed its strengths in marine equipment repair, conversion, and offshore engineering equipment manufacturing. Changjiang Shipping Group, with a history of nearly 150 years, is a specialized company under China Merchants Group implementing the national Yangtze River Economic Belt strategy. Focusing on shipping and cruise tourism businesses, it prominently demonstrated China Merchants Group's influence and advanced level in the global shipping sector. China Nanshan, as the first Sino-foreign joint-stock enterprise in New China initiated and established by China Merchants Group, presented its layout and practical achievements in the fields of high-end marine equipment manufacturing, marine electronic information, marine services, and marine technology industrial parks.
